‘A Palette Painting Day’, with Amanda Coleman
At this free event, artist Amanda Coleman will be demonstrating her apporach to oil painting the still-life or interior from life!

About Amanda Coleman
Amanda’s paintings are as much about the paint as they are the subject matter - a curiosity as to what you can make paint do. She is passionate about directness and momentum - where thick, present brush marks have purpose.
Amanda is a Member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Chelsea Art Society. In addition, her paintings have been selected for exhibitions including the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition, Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Discerning Eye, Society of Women Artists, and Green and Stone Summer Exhibition.
Awards include:
- The Alan Gourley Memorial Award - for a painting of outstanding merit 2021 (Royal Institute of Oil Painters)
- Tony Merrick Memorial Prize 2019 (Royal Institute of Oil Painters)
- William Sloane Medal 2019 (exhibition - works by Chelsea Art Society members)
- National Open Art Cass Art Solo exhibition Award 2016
