About Becca Barron

Becca is a professional wildlife artist, specialising in realistic coloured pencil drawings of animals. She likes to work from carefully selected photographs, which often capture a close-up, personal moment of the subject in a strong light. This enables her to achieve an exceptional amount of detail, drawing attention to the beauty and expression of each animal depicted, bringing the subject to life on the paper.

Becca chooses to work with coloured pencils, as they allow for accuracy and depth through an incredible control of detail. She enjoys the timely process of building up layers, to recreate fur textures, through every delicately placed pencil stroke.

After studying Fine Art at Leeds Arts University, she now shares her passion for coloured pencils with others through online teaching platforms, such as Patreon and YouTube. She has recently exhibited at the Gallery at Green & Stone during their Summer Exhibition 2023.
