Introduction to Lino-cut

Accompanied by delicious vodka spritzes from Forage, Venetia will introduce you to the relief-print technique of lino-cutting.

During this class you will be shown how to use specialist tools to create your linocut and then how to ink and hand-press it onto a Kraft greeting card.

We will be focusing on designs inspired by seasonal British fruits and vegetables.

At the end of the evening, each person will be able to take home their hand-printed greeting cards & envelopes.

All art materials provided by Green & Stone.

Drinks provided by Forage.

About Venetia Higgins

Venetia is a contemporary Artist and Print-Maker from London.Venetia’s practice is almost always inspired by flora and fauna, and tends to subconsciously shift in colour and subject matter to reflect seasonal changes. She prioritises the process over the outcome when creating a piece of work, often incorporating many mediums in one piece or repurposing old work through collage.

Venetia studied History of Art at the University of Edinburgh and completed the Royal Drawing School’s Online Drawing Development Year 2022, at post-graduate level.

Venetia is a founding member of Studio 22, an artist collective who exhibited at the Gallery at Green & Stone in March 2023, in partnership with the Royal Drawing School. Since the success of this exhibition, Venetia has joined Green & Stone as their Head of Events.
