Experimental Drawing Club: Summer Exhibition Edition -

NO.3 Portraiture

Join artist and Royal Drawing School tutor Minna Williams for the final session of our Experimental Drawing Club: Summer Exhibition Edition.

Inspired by the artists and artworks featured in the Green & Stone Summer Exhibition, this expressive portrait drawing workshop invites participants to explore the face through observation, experimentation, and creative mark-making. Rather than focusing on achieving a perfect likeness, the session encourages participants to discover how colour, line, texture, and composition can capture personality and expression.

Working from a live model, Minna will guide participants through a series of drawing exercises using a variety of materials and techniques, encouraging a playful and intuitive approach to portraiture. Through demonstrations and individual guidance, participants will build confidence while exploring new ways of responding to the human face.

Whether you're completely new to portrait drawing or looking to develop a more expressive approach, this workshop offers a relaxed and supportive environment to experiment, take creative risks, and enjoy the process of drawing.

All drawing materials are provided, along with a complimentary drink, making it the perfect opportunity to unwind after work while drawing in the inspiring surroundings of the Green & Stone Gallery.

Suitable for all abilities.

All art materials are provided by Green & Stone.
